At Shapiro's Delicatessen, we've served house-made food from scratch for 115 years! We've also been serious about the cleanliness of our restaurant since 1905. You can't expect customers to keep coming back if you don't serve them great food in a clean restaurant. Three weeks ago when the corona-virus hit the West Coast, our fourth generation owner Brian Shapiro bought a case of Lysol Wipes. He wasn't hoarding them; he bought them for every one of his employees! He printed off the CDC recommendations and discussed proper protocol with them. Cleanliness from the corona-virus starts with educations and by not bringing it into the restaurant! This is thinking outside the restaurant. We've survived the Great Depression, the Great Recession, 9-11, and we'll survive this, too. Thanks to all of our loyal customers!
