In January of 2021,  Food & Wine Magazine posted their list of the best sandwiches in every state in the US. Once again, Shapiro's Delicatessen is named in Food & Wine Magazine! We are grateful for the recognition of the hard work our crew puts in every day. Great Uncle Max used to say that 'Every day is opening day'. 2020 certainly put this to the test! It literally felt like we were starting all over again with a FIRST day opening, trying to work with the ever changing rules of Covid19. Thank you to our loyal customers that properly wore a mask and had plenty of patience with the limited amount of working staff. Thanks to everyone that has continued to support us in an effort to keep us open for business! Riots, closed businesses and work-from-home offices that emptied the downtown buildings, Brian Shapiro worked to clean up the homeless 'camps', unemployment and layoffs in every industry - We are grateful to have such fantastic customers that keep us in business!
